Wellbeing

We are pleased to share information about two local programmes run by Cambridge United Football Club Foundation (CUF) designed to support KS3 students in developing positive behaviours, confidence, and mental wellbeing. These programmes offer students opportunities to learn, engage, and build important life skills.

Programme 1: Pledge United – 6-Week VAWG Intervention

  • Purpose: Uses football to challenge negative attitudes, including misogyny, and to empower students to positively influence themselves and their peers. At the end of the programme, students make a verbal pledge to demonstrate respectful behaviour.
  • Target audience: KS3 boys
  • Contact / Sign-up: kieranw@cambridgeunited.com

Programme 2: Mind Your Head – 6-Week Mental Health Programme

  • Purpose: Helps students understand and manage their mental health, build confidence discussing wellbeing, and develop skills to cope with stress and change.
  • Target audience: KS3 students
  • Contact / Sign-up: samc@cambridgeunited.com

How to Get Involved:
